The holiday season is here and what better way to spread the holiday cheer than make gingerbread houses. We aren’t talking about pre-packaged gingerbread houses, but rather extravagant artistic designs created by local bakeries and chefs. It is the 4th Annual City Harvest Gingerbread Extravaganza and Competition which is being hosted at Le Parker Meridien hotel. This year’s theme, “World Landmarks”, will be on display from November 30th 2012 to January 3rd, 2013 in the atrium lobby of the hotel, located at 119 West 56th Street. You do not want to miss seeing all these works of edible art.
Butterfly Bakeshop’s creation on display is of Chichen Itza the Mayan Pyramid located in Mexico. To purchase votes go to the hotel concierge desk. Each vote is $1.00 or you can get eight votes for $5.00. Your vote will help raise money for City Harvest which is the world’s first food rescue organization that helps feed hungry New Yorkers every day.
