THE OMBRE CAKE TREND

A traditional white wedding cake is a timeless classic. But, in the Winter 2013 addition of New York Weddings “Au Revior White” explores the popular new trend of spicing-up your wedding cake with colorful details. The magazine highlights how colorful, Ombré Cakes (gradient color cakes) is the new trend to brightening up receptions. The ombré details add artistic flare, elegance, and are very adaptable to any color scheme. This effect heightens the creative beauty of cake to reach a whole new level.

 

Butterfly Bakeshop was honored to have two cake designs featured in the issue. Cake Artist Orlando Leon said “It was exciting to be a part of the project.” “When the magazine hit the stands we all enjoyed seeing our cakes as well as the interesting cake designs submitted by the other bakeries.”
